Classic Car Overview

This 1988 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet is a low-mileage 930 that was transformed in the early/mid-1990s into a period-correct custom build. Originally finished in Grand Prix White over Marine Blue, the car was reimagined with authentic steel 964 slantnose (Flachbau) fenders, 964-style bodywork, and refinished in a deep metallic black cherry over a full white leather interior. The build is believed to have been commissioned by a former NBA player during that era, when these high-end custom conversions were popular.

Mechanically, the car remains largely stock, retaining its original 3.3L turbocharged flat-six and 4-speed manual drivetrain, with the exception of a custom exhaust. It delivers the raw, analog driving experience the 930 is known for.

Over the past year, the car has undergone extensive mechanical sorting totaling ~$16,600 to bring it to a strong-running, turn-key condition. Work includes major service (valve adjustment, fluids, tune-up, belts), transmission service, intercooler seals, rear axle replacement, fuel system service, oil line work, and electrical repairs. The car starts easily, pulls strong, and drives very well.

Additional highlights:

* Power convertible top
* 18 Fikse wheels
* Serviced under prior ownership by Lufteknic since 2007
* Clean title
* ~40k original miles

Condition:
The car presents very well overall with minor cosmetic imperfections consistent with age. Heat and A/C are currently inoperative.

This is not a stock 930, but a well-executed period custom that blends classic Turbo performance with a unique, era-correct aesthetic. A distinctive example that stands apart from typical cars on the market.

Happy to provide additional photos, videos, and documentation.
