VW Kombi Van Seeing Resurgence in Popularity

The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.

Classic Car Overview

1988 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet M505 Slant Nose

Factory original slant nose in Black over crimson Red leather with black piping. This car is different from the average 930 as it was owned by a true enthusiast who treated it more like an only child than a car. No Expense was spared upgrading or maintaining the Porsche. He once had it towed from Dayton to Orlando to have the battery changed so that "only his mechanic" would lay hands on the car.

Many Porsches have been modified without an end goal in mind. This car is not in that group. All modifications were done in line with maintaining the original spirit of the slant nose, while elevating it's capabilities. That said it really can't be called an Outlaw but rather an improved version of what Porsche designed it as.
This car is meant for a new owner who understands the passion of Porsche. Someone who wants one of the most iconic models ever made but still wants something no one else has.

Below is a list of some of the upgrades done to the car while still keeping the feel of an original.

Engine increased to 3.6L with twin plug ignition and upgraded turbo and intercooler. The electronic ignition control box is hidden under the passenger seat with the boost set at a reasonable 1bar. The engine runs strong and boost is smooth.

Stereo system tastefully upgraded to a blaupunkt Bluetooth head unit. JL Audio amp and speakers including 8" sub under the right rear set. Sub is removable and the seat bottom is stored in the front trunk. Hidden radar and jammer are controlled by a small knob under the dash.

Complete interior trim replacement including front seats, rear seats, door panels, door handles/arm rests, rear side trim, console/boot and complete carpet kit. Original import leather was used to match and carpets are 100% Wilton Wool as per receipt.

Suspension rebuilt and upgraded, front brake calipers updated to later style and cross drilled rotors installed on all four corners. Custom Fikse wheels also installed.

This Slant nose was repainted in the original black however taken to the next level with wet sanding and buffing. The finish is deep and rich, both illustrating the quality of the paint and prep work underneath.

The car comes with its original tool roll and manuals, a zipped pouch packed with receipts documenting the work completed and two tonneau covers. One tonneau for the top and another for the whole of the interior when parked with the top down.

I'm happy to answer any question, provide additional photos, schedule a video chat to see the car live or show the car in person. I'm pricing the car well within the market of a decent driver quality Slant nose, which is an incredible value considering the work that has gone into this car. There is nothing like this on the market, act fast! 904 8sevenfor 4877
