Given that the 21st century has seen a sort of return to the roots aspect for the Mustang, it was probably only a matter of time before the Boss 302 made a return. Over the last few years there's been steady and growing interest in the concept of a new-age Trans Am Special.
Jim Clarke led the charge with the creation of the 5.0 HO V8 for the Mustang in 1982 and was responsible for the continuous improvement of the 5.0 throughout the '80s. What Jim and his team accomplished is truly amazing.

The Frame has been setup for drag racing, no evidence of any rust damage, underbody has been re-sprayed, front and rear sub frame connectors have been custom welded into the floor pans, rear torque boxes have been reinforced, Projack stands, polished flaming river steering rack with Heim linkages, chrome k-member cross-member with adjustable lower a-arms and strange coil-overs/spindles, Strange braking components throughout including master cylinder, front and rear calipers and rotors, line lock equipped, flexible stainless lines front and rear, rear axle is a reinforced Ford 9 with Strange 40 spline axles and differential housing, Mark Williams metal matrix drive shaft, adjustable 4 link rear suspension with Wolfe rear sway bar and coil-overs, custom carbon fiber covers over the fuel cell, fender wells have been mildly tubbed, trans-cooler mounted ahead of rear axle, new M/T ET Drag slicks in the rear (29.5/10.5/15) and M/T ET fronts (28/4.5/15) with Weld wheels - all of these upgrades have set this Pony at over 1200 wheel horsepower. The owner did not spare a penny with this build and all of the service records provided will verify that, done right from top to bottom and a true beast that will not disappoint.
