California Car, 94,000 original miles, this third-generation F-body is a completely un-modified "survivor" that has escaped the typical performance modifications and abuse these cars often faced. Unique 1988 Camaro convertible with 5.0 engine.
What makes this specific RS truly special is the factory powertrain combination: the 5.0L V8 paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. While most convertibles left the factory as automatics, this 3-pedal V8 cruiser offers a true driver's experience and is incredibly hard to find today.
Mechanical & Drive:
Mechanically, this Camaro is very sound, starts right up effortlessly, and runs fantastic. Brand new clutch with less than 500 miles driven, the 5-speed manual shifts smoothly through all gears, making it ready to drive and enjoy immediately. Full tune up done one year ago, several upgrades to electrical. Have all the service records since I owned the car.
Exterior & Body:
Finished in timeless factory Black, the body is completely straight and 100% rust-free. The paint is in pretty good condition, retaining a deep shine that presents beautifully at local cars and coffee events. The convertible top is in great condition, replaced two years ago.
Interior & Condition:
The original Gray cloth interior is in good condition overall. It shows some honest age and light cosmetic wear consistent with its 94k miles, but it remains clean, and comfortable. There is one small tear to the cloth on the driver's seat and some discoloration on some plastic pieces.
