Classic Car Overview
Very nice 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo for sale. This California car was purchased new at Porsche-Audi of Garden Grove, California in March of 1987 finished in Guards Red over black. It includes the original owner's manual and warranty book, a cache of records, a clean Carfax report, and a clear, California title. It currently has just under 102k miles.
The 2.5L inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engine starts up and runs beautifully. The 5-speed manual shifts well and nice suspension and braking make the handling excellent. The car is owned by a professional mechanic and kept well-maintained. Recent work includes new piston rod bearings, water pump, AC service, and much more.
The Guards red paint has a nice shine to it and overall the exterior is very presentable. It has a nice set of scuff-free Sundial wheels wrapped in 225/50 R16's in the back and 205/55 R16's upfront. It has nice glass & trim and the exterior lighting is in good working order. This is a good looking 944 and shows well.
Inside looks to be mostly if not all original. The gauges and switches are in working order and the factory air conditioning system was recently serviced and is blowing ice-cold. The rugs, dash, console, and headliner, and original patina'd leather look nice and are very comfortable. Inside all systems are nicely functional except the clock is pixilated and the washer is inoperable. Otherwise, this 944 is in excellent working order and very comfortable.
