If you're a fan of vintage Japanese cars, be sure to check out Nissan's online heritage site. There are tons of vintage Nissan pics and specs going all the way back to the 1920s. Each featured car or truck has relevant specs and a little "detail" tab that gives some background on that specific car.
The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.
Classic Car Overview
Up for sale is my 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Coup. This car is investment grade and collector quality! It is truly spectacular showing 49.644 original miles. Great color combination of grand prix white with blue interior. I have owned around collector 30 cars, this being my second 911. I know a lot about these cars but don’t claim to be an expert. Here’s what I know, whenever you by a car that could be considered a collector car, there a few important factors that determine its value and overall ability to hold value. Originality, condition inside and out, mileage, mechanical records, and most importantly documentation throughout its life. These cars run from around $40,000 and 100,000. That range is largely based on the factors I just mentioned. My 1st 911 was on the lower end because I just wanted one of them. When I was searching for my second one, I looked long and hard to find the car that hit all of the factors. If you look at the history of air cooled 911’s, you’ll find you really can’t go wrong, but if your looking for a good investment the more factors that the car has, the better the investment. They are not easy to find! Let’s go through the factors. This car Is 99% original with outstanding paint, no rust, just about perfect interior with crystal clear gauges. Look at the close-up pictures of the glass, rubber and piping around the bumpers. Look at the seats carpet and dash. Look at the engine compartment. Everything is in amazing condition. I have never seen a nicer Carrera inside and out. There is a 5page Carfax that came with a buy back guarantee that is in one of the pictures. When you get you get a buy back guarantee you can be confident of the report. This is BIG, I have service records dating back from the very beginning all the way through this year. The total is around $18,000. This car just had a complete engine out service around 1,300 miles ago totaling over $8,400. Additionally, over $1200.00 was spent around 1,000 miles ago. If you know anything about these cars you know they ALL need engine out service at some point. There are pictures of these receipts. I have a one-inch thick file of documentation for this car. A couple of additional things included are 2 steering wheels. The MOMO race wheel is on the car and I have the original one in a box, the original tool kit (these go for over $1,000.00 on the internet, 2 factory keys (that tells you everything about the history of this car. You will never get 2 original keys. The factory build sheet that matches the sticker pictured under the hood. The car came from the factory with OEM rear spoiler and front lower ground spoiler. A lot of these cars did not come from the factory with these options. Look around. Stainless steel Fabspeed muffler. This is also big. Look at the pictures of all of the stickers around the car. They are the proper stickers in the proper place and not replacements. Last but least, the 2 previous owners had multiple Porsches. The first owner I was told raced them and this car was his at home car. He supposedly kept the car in his house. YES his house. The second owner had multiple Porsches at the same time. Kept it in his garage and hardly ever drove it. I can’t prove these stories, but I think this accounts for the condition and quality of this car. A couple of improvements for the next owner. The car has a modern Blaupunkt blue tooth radio, and amp with newer upgraded Boston Acoustics speakers. I do not have the original radio. The radio on the build sheet is still out there on Ebay regularly. The car has a couple of small dings that are hard to see because the car is white. They should be able to removed by a qualified paint less dent removal technician. That way the original paint can stay intact. This car is ready to be driven and enjoyed or covered and stored. I always recommend seeing the car and driving the car if possible. Please call me if you have questions, as I love to talk about this anyhow. Joe 410-422-5064.
