Classic Car Overview
Exterior painted in Pearl Grey Metallic with fog lights, stainless steel/chrome trim and black rocker panels. The paint on the rear of the SL is patinaed and faded in areas. Front hood/fenders were resprayed by previous owner (2001). Replaced soft top (2009, OEM material). This 560SL has never been in an accident. The engine bay is clean. It has 15" alloy wheels with Michelin Premier A/S 205/65R15 94H tires.
Recent service included replacement of timing chain/guides/tensioner, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, pcv manifolds/connections, drive belts, front & rear shocks, engine mounts, auto-transmission fluid/filter/pan/mounts, subframe mounts, rear muffler, rear brake calipers/pads/rotors, and steering stabilizing. AC system was converted to R134A and dryer/switches replaced. AC systems works but system has slow leak.
The interior is 100% original. It is upholstered in blue leather with matching carpets. Manually-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows, drivers side airbag, and AM/FM/cassette stereo audio system with power antenna. The interior wood trim was refinished and switches replaced (2004). A rear jump seat was installed with seat belts (2007). The original rear shelf with first aid kit included with sale. The blue dash is in good condition but does have a few defects.
This extremely well maintained 560SL is a great driver. Complete maintenance records since new, window sticker copy, books, original sales brochure, car cover, tools and three keys. Many maintenance and spare parts are included with sale.
