1987 Jeep Wrangler 4WD Sport

This 1987 YJ Wrangler was tastefully modified with great parts and an even better engine swap! The highlight of this build is the Ford 302 cu. in. V8 that fits perfectly under the custom cowl induction hood. The Champion 4 row radiator and 16" electric fan help keep that 5.0 cool. This timeless engine is perfectly paired to a smooth shifting 5 speed transmission and puts its power down through 35" BF Goodrich All Terrain tires and wrapped around the ever popular 15" Dick Cepek DC-2 wheels. This Jeep makes room for the large tires with a complete 4" Rough Country suspension lift and 3" body lift. All suspension geometry is correct with a 4" drop pitman arm.

Drivetrain:
The drivetrain of this Jeep is perfect for around town cruising or hitting some sandy beaches. It comes with an 8.8 rear end with 4.56 gears with new seals and bearings and a matching Dana front axle. 4.56 gears are not provided but can be installed after purchase. The Jeep is currently only RWD but the front drive shaft is provided. The E-brake cables are MORE. This Jeep has disc brakes on all 4 corners with 3an braided brake lines and a a valve to adjust pressure. The transmission is a 1989 Bronco 5 speed with a new flywheel, Centerforce dual friction clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing. The transmission also has a new master cylinder for the hydraulic clutch.

Exterior:
Industry standard brands were used to modify all of the visual aspects of this Wrangler. Smittybilt front and rear bumpers with their hurricane fender flares. The rear bumper comes complete with a tire carrier to provide the support needed for a full size spare. The frame mounted rock sliders function both as steps to assist with entry as well as protect the sides of the Jeep in rocky off-road environments.

Interior:
The custom Mastercraft seats add comfort as well as improved performance to the interior of this Jeep. For added interior security, Smittybilt locking center console, glove box, and rear box are included with matching keys. The dash has brand new Autometer programmable electric gauges such as a speedometer, tachometer, volt, mechanical temp, and oil pressure gauge.
