1987 Chevrolet Suburban 4WD

Here is a restored 1987 Chevy Suburban 4X4. 350 V8 and a 700R4 automatic transmission. It has the 208C transfer case. Originally started out as a project to recreate the same Suburban used in the movie "Dante's Peak." The lights are set up on different relays and switches to prevent overloading the electrical system. The 12,000 winch is hidden underneath the front bumper on a 3/8' thick steel plate. The CB radio has a quick disconnect antennae mount on the rear of the custom built luggage rack (Takes 2 seconds to disconnect) to prevent damage to the roof in low overhang places. It even has a steel plate lockable console that is inside the original console to securely lock up your valuables-you don't see these every day!! I was going to install the snorkel.....but, I decided I just couldn't cut out the 3 1/2 inch hole in the right front fender for the snorkel. Yes, I have the snorkel that is the one used for the Suburban on the movie version of the truck. The luggage rack, lights and winch can be removed if desired. The odometer shows 43242 but I am sure it has turned over once. Any questions just ask. These 5 pictures don't really provide an example of an older Square Body Chevy design.
