1986 Subaru Brat

This great Brat was brought out of an estste 20 years ago and been tucked away in storage untill now. Yes the miles are correct with ONLY 16185





The first generation Brat was dwvwloped in Japan in 1977 at the request of the President of Subaru of America, the BRAT was introduced to match the demand for small trucks in North America, All Brats came with 4 wheel drive and had welded in rear facing jump seats in cargo area. The seats in cargo bed allowed Subaru to classify the BRAT as a passenger car this significantly reduced the cost of importing BRATS to North America as passenger cars were chaeged a 2.5% import tariff while light trucks were charged ten times higher 255 IMPORT TARIFF. The BRATS were export model only never being sold in Japan.





The jump seats were discontinued after the year of 1985 and were no longer imported in North America after 1987 Porduction continued into 1994 Australia and New Zealand
