1986 Mitsubishi Starion ESI-R

Fresh out of 1986 this very rare MItsubishi Starion intercooled ES-R Widebody is a rare car indeed! Its RWD and it's horsepower 4-banger turbo engine is excellent for drifting! 

Very few remain in this good of shape anywhere on Earth. My grandmother owned it as a second owner back in 1987. She kept it garaged for the last 20 years. This car has never been involved in an accident and has a clean title ready to be signed over into new car-loving hands. 

This particular Starion is a motor-heads dream! It was garaged for 20 years. It's got very little rust and just needs some real gear-head  TLC.  

The Starion was recently serviced in Melbourne Florida after being brought back out into the world. The gas tank needed work from petrol that had sat in the tank for a decade. All of that has been worked out! But this car MUST only run on NON-ETHANOL gasoline. 

Car runs great just drove it from Melbourne to Daytona Beach on I-95 as well as US-1. Made it up there without a hitch. 

The sunroof needs work. It does NOT leak - but all the seals and gaskets need to be replaced.  I have not opened it or tried to mess with it at all since it's currently sealed from anything getting in.

The original electronics like the radio and air con all work. But the air conditioner compressor needs to be replaced - and there is a new one that comes with the purchase of the car.

The 5 speed manual transmission shifts smooth as butter. The brakes a solid. All the lighting works and the electric windows go up and down fine. The Turbo works but a good mechanic could focus on tuning this car up to run and purr like the race car it deserves to be! 

The tires need to be balanced and rotated. 
There is a minimal oil leak - anyone that does a thorough engine assessment will be able to find the leak and repair it.

The last paint job was poorly executed - The good news is the original paint is just under the surface and seems to be in good condition. The frame and chassis are solid. 

With a little Tender Loving Care - some minor bodywork, some engine maintenance and a new high-quality paint job - and this 1986 Starion could be the most cherry Starion on the road in America. It certainly has that potential! 

This car is so rare and has the potential to be a car that The Fast and The Furious producers will be salivating over because they never had a car this cool in that movie franchise! Maybe you need to own THAT car? - Which is exactly THIS car.
