The original invoice indicates that Aston Martin Tickford was commissioned to complete the special black finish for an additional 3,500. Additionally 16 Ford Motorsport wheels made of magnesium alloy are fitted and mounted with Pirelli tires. A full-size spare is stored under the rear clamshell aft of the engine along with the lug wrench and jack. This RS200 was first ordered by Texas oilman Mr. Dennis OConnor. It was purchased on his behalf by Innes Ireland along with three additional RS200s. This RS200 was imported to the United States in the 1990s, but later returned to the United Kingdom in 1997. The car was then displayed within the David Sutton Motorsports Museum with 600 indicated miles at the time and was first registered in the UK in 2006. Subsequently, this RS 200 crossed the ocean once again with its return to the US circa 2016.
