This well-maintained 1986 Mustang GT is an iconic Four-Eye Fox Body with 142,000 actual miles. It features the classic 5.0L V8 and a five-speed manual transmission that was rebuilt 1,500 miles ago. The bold red-on-red color scheme, black hood stripe, and Flowmaster dual exhaust deliver unmistakable 1980s style and performance sound. Comfort and convenience features include recently repaired cold air conditioning, power windows and locks, cruise control, an upgraded Pioneer radio, rear speakers, a gray sport interior, and 15-inch Mustang 10-hole wheels. During my four years of ownership, I have focused on maintaining and improving the engine and drivetrain. Upgrades and recent work include cleaned wiring ground points, a BBK adjustable clutch quadrant, underdrive pulleys, an aluminum radiator, a new distributor, and new tires installed about 100 miles ago. The rear end was also rebuilt with 3.73 gears, new axles, bearings, seals, rear brakes. The interior and exterior are both in great condition. Few minor imperfections expected with a vintage vehicle. Although I work from home, I regularly drive the car to appointments. It is quick, runs strong, and consistently attracts attention. This GT offers an ideal blend of vintage muscle-car character, modern convenience, and turn-key reliability. I also have a box of new parts interior and front suspension yet to be installed that will come with the car. I have a short video if you would like to hear the car running at idle.
