1986 Ford F250 4x4 Regular Cab

Exceptional F250 4x4 with only 86,098 miles. Original engine and interior. It has a 460/7.5L V8 engine and a NP435 4-speed manual transmission.

My grandpa and I are the first and only owners. It comes with all of the original paperwork including the Ford invoice, 1986 manual, vintage 4-Wheeling with Ford Owners Guide, and more.

Despite being used as a work truck, it has been well cared for and kept in a covered shed when not in use.

The truck recently received a detailed, certified-mechanic's inspection. Here is a brief summary:

The engine starts easily whether cold or hot and runs smoothly with good oil pressure and temperature. There is no smoke from the exhaust and no knocking or ticking. The clutch feels great, the transmission shifts smoothly, and the 4WD system functions properly in all ranges.

The cab and front clip are straight, and the original paint is oxidized, but should polish nicely. The front bumper, grille, and surround are in excellent condition. The bed does show its history as a working truck, with dents along the top rails, inside the bed, and around the lower rear corners. The truck currently has a ranch-style tailgate, rear bumper, and headache rack installed.

The truck runs and drives extremely well for its age, but is being sold as-is and does need some maintenance. The inspection states that the tires are old and should be replaced before regular road use. The passenger rear wheel cylinder is leaking, and the original brake hoses are brittle and should be replaced, followed by a brake fluid flush. The inspection also noted several fluid leaks, including valve cover and oil pan gasket leaks, a possible rear main seal leak, a leaking transfer case output seal, and a slight rear differential cover leak. There is also a slight driver's-side exhaust manifold leak.
