1969 ZL1 CAMARO

The story of the ZL1 Camaro, fitted with that rarest of the rare, all-aluminum 427 big-block V-8, is one that has often been told: How only 69 were made, how they exploited the GM option-ordering system, and how they've become the Camaro guy's ultimate Camaro.

Classic Car Overview

I believe that these IROC Z-28s are one of these cars to buy, have some fun with and take to car shows and cruise nights. This particular car checks a great number of boxes as far as collectability is concerned. First, it is an IROC Z-28 which means it comes with certain options as standard equipment. Second, the engine is the

very desirable 305 cubic inch with TUNED PORT Fuel Injection which makes it a great cruiser.Third, it has the big wheels

and tires (16-inch Alloys and tires are 245/50/16) with Disc/Drum brakes. All this makes the car handle extremely well.

An article appeared in Car and Driver discussing a test of which car, a Corvette or Camaro, would handle better. And, guess what .....the Camaro WON!! They are fast and they DO handle well. They have front and rear sway bars. The front sway bar is huge! If you grew up in the 80s or 90s, these were the cars everyone wanted. Chevy go-Fast parts are cheap and consequently most of these cars were Rode Hard and Put-Up Wet as we say here in Texas. In other words, people drove them like they stolen!! A lot of them did not survive.

There were only 3,915 Yellow IROC Z-28 produced in 1986. Also, it is great to remove the T-Tops and drive around and have some fun! They really look good!

I tried to take pictures of everything you might want to see on the car such as the floors which is VERY important. I also have the Car Fax showing no accidents or speedo roll backs, etc. The Car Fax also verifies it is a true 60,000 mile car.

The interior is in excellent condition as you can see. The rubber all around is great, including the T-Top.

The Third Generation Camaros are QUICKLY becoming more collectable, higher in value and in greater demand. A low mileage, original car such as this will only lead the way!

This car runs like new and A/C blow Ice cold. I have the original Stereo in a box but have a look a like stereo with Bluetooth and I Phone cable. I did the install my self and no wires were cut. Installed new fuel pump and fuel level assembly in tank. Also installed new GM temp sending unit on head... Car is amazing.....

Call with any questions. I bought the car from a guy who sold off a clients complete collection. Car is almost concourse level.
