In just a few short years, Walter P. Chrysler took his company from an unknown automotive manufacturer to fourth in the industry. Walter Chrysler was a perfectionist with a deep mechanical background. This aspect, probably more than anything, helped to make Chrysler Corporation grow quickly.
A viable alternative that's still daring and different, the 1968 Chevy Impala SS 427. SS 427 Impalas are very distinctive and unique. Sales were modest, so finding an Impala SS 427, especially a convertible, could be a little challenging.

With the K5 Blazer, GM created a 4 4 that joined, but also changed, the SUV segment itself. Motor Trend, December 2020 Highlighting the Blazers historic launch as full-sized, a slap at the then-smaller Ford Bronco, Chevrolets period promotional brochure put it this way: The Full-Size Blazer has quite a heritage-one which began in 1969 when Blazer emerged as Americas original full-size sport utility vehicle. Many model years later, it is still the ideal vehicle for the adventurer who really wants to go off into the horizon. Hold that thought. Offered here is a well-maintained, properly upgraded, and expertly modified Heartbeat of America lifted 86 Chevy Blazer. The truck wears a stunning, custom, professional repaint in orange and white. Its odometer shows 5,200 miles (since the full restoration). The trucks exterior custom paint is evenly applied and uniformly glossy; the colors separated and highlighted by thin, black striping. The paint was professionally applied (including proper application to the door jambs), and the two colors together are an impressive sight making the most of the trucks horizontal design lines. Body panels are straight and properly aligned. There are no dings, dents, or other body damage. With the exception of the added high-rise hood, the trucks body has not been modified. Auxiliary, front-bumper-mounted LED lights have been added for improved off-road nighttime driving, and the center bar in the front grille has been painted orange. Stock sideview mirrors are mounted, and chrome step-bars have been added for easy cabin entry. Cabin glass and all lighting lenses are clear and uncracked. Gloss-black-painted, 3-piece MotoTrail wheels are mounted with Nitto Extreme Terrain off-road tires. Inside, the light gray cloth upholstery has been well-maintained, although slightly discolored in places. There are no signs of abuse or excessive wear, and no rips or tears. The matching stock door trim (featuring power-window controls) is in similar condition. The black dashboard, framed by the added chrome sport steering wheel, includes the standard array of instruments and engine-monitoring gauges, set in a brushed-metal surround. That trim continues on the passenger side where a Silverado emblem is mounted in the factory-correct position. Stock air conditioning and heating controls are slide-lever-operated. A lockable storage compartment is located between the front seats; the rear seat is a foldable bench with armrests. An AutoGage tachometer with programmable shift-light has been added to the right-center of the dash, and a cluster of three auxiliary engine-monitoring gauges have been located below the dash. A Pioneer audio head unit replaces the factory radio. The trucks automatic-transmission shift lever is mounted on the steering column, while the four-wheel-drive transfer-case selector is floor mounted. Cabin carpeting is black and has been maintained in very good condition; the same carpeting fully covers the cargo-area floor. Textured steel protective plating has been added to the cargo-area walls, and stereo speakers and RockfordFosgate audio components are mounted there. Under the hood, the 6.0-liter V8 fuel-injected engine has received modest cosmetic upgrades including a chrome, low-resistance air-cleaner assembly. The engine compartment is clean with all components and plumbing properly
