Vehicle Overview

103,000 miles. Transported from Oklahoma in 2016.
Has been in barn. Havent used it much. No time. Runs pretty good. 1985. Automatic. Looks nice. No rust. 4wd . 1985.

If you are interested in a classic 80s car like this it would be a good fit .

Overview:

A highly original 1985 Subaru GL 4WD Wagon. Originally an Oklahoma car, it was moved to New York in 2016 and has been kept in a barn/garage since. It shows 105,000 miles and remains a solid, "no-rust" survivor of the 80s. While it has some minor vintage quirks, it is a running, driving example of the legendary Leone platform, perfect for someone looking for an honest project or a unique classic daily.

Currently not inspeced but I could get it on the road. There is new timing done and new belt and new tires.

Mechanical

Mechanical The 1.8L 4-cylinder engine starts and runs and car is driveable. It features the 3-speed automatic transmission and the "On-Demand" 4WD system, which functions as it should. Please note: The gas gauge is currently inaccurate, and the rear window wiper is non-functional, rear hatch doesnt stay up as well. It is a reliable runner that has been used sparingly recently and is ready for its next chapter. The ac and heat blow but not sure if ac cool air not blowing.

Exterior

Exterior The body is finished in its original Red paint. The most significant value here is the lack of rust, which is extremely rare for these models. The paint shows well for its age with a nice patina. Note that the rear liftgate struts have weakened over time and the gate does not stay up on its own. THere are some minor bumps and bruise but no serious injuries.

Interior

Everything on car is pretty much stock still. I think I am third owner. I had it trucked from OKL to NY and meant to use it more but time flies. Interior The Tan interior is in good, preserved condition. The dash and seating have been protected from sun damage thanks to indoor storage. Aside from the gas gauge mentioned above, the cabin is a true time capsule. Its a comfortable, functional space that reflects the low mileage and careful storage. I
