The Rinspeed R69 Turbo started life as a Porsche 911 Turbo before being completely transformed by Swiss design house Rinspeed. Rinspeed introduced the R69 Turbo in 1985 with styling inspired by the Ferrari Testarossa, which had arrived only a year earlier. The familiar 911 shape was reworked with a low slant nose, pop-up headlights, dramatic side strakes, a much wider rear body, and a completely redesigned tail. It still looks like a Porsche, but one that escaped from an 80s poster and refuses to blend in.
Underneath all that bodywork is the foundation of the legendary Porsche 911 Turbo. The air-cooled, turbocharged flat-six delivers the sound, boost, and old-school driving experience that made the 930 such an icon. There are no modern driving modes or layers of electronics here just a rear-engine turbo Porsche with serious personality.
What makes this example especially exciting is that it remains fully stock in its original Rinspeed configuration. It hasn t been modernized, toned down, or updated to follow current trends. The wild bodywork and period details are exactly what make the R69 special, and preserving them matters on a car this unusual.
