Classic Car Overview

It took me years to find a Jeep J10 without bedside rust, but now, 10 years after I bought the truck from a farm in North Carolina, I must say goodby, as my family grew recently.

For sale is a low-mileage, southern Jeep J10 most recently from California but originally from North Carolina. It has under 95,000 miles shown on the odometer (I removed the truck's original 1984-dated clutch pressure plate, and the clutch itself had tons of material left; between that and the 150psi compression across all 6 cylinders, I think the 95,000 miles are original miles, though the Carfax strangely shows a 1992 odometer rollover). I rebuilt the manual transmission 20,000 miles ago, and the truck runs and drives perfectly. New exhaust system, mostly rock-solid body aside from some rust on the door jambs, floorboards, the back of the cab, a small spot on hood, and a little in bed. The underbody is close to factory-mint. The engine is the unkillable 258 AMC inline-six.

It's an amazing truck that I recently drove from Michigan all the way to California with zero issues. Turn the key and just drive, as there's very little to go wrong with that low-mileage inline-six, a newly rebuilt transmission, and freshly filled up fluids.

It's very, very rare that a Jeep J10 will not have rust on its bedsides (this is VERY hard to fix). This J10's bedsides are rust-free (I sprayed some gray primer on the seams to protect it; this can be sanded off; the inside of the bed and the rest o the underbody have been professionally undercoated).

Patch some of the small rust spots, add a carpet, maybe shoot some paint (or just enjoy the patina) and you'll have an excellent J10 worth probably at least $20,000. Let me know if you have any questions.
