Vehicle Overview

No accident damage, all original. Southern truck (Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee), no rust other than surface on the frame and drivetrain components. Runs and drives smooth and quiet. This truck is a time capsule. Bought it out of Georgia and performed all the necessary maintenance and replacements to make it run and look as good as it should. This was someone's baby and I took pride in gently bringing it back to it's glory. No mods, no hop-ups, kept with all quality replacements to maintain the original truck's look, feel and handling.

Mechanical

ALL WORK PERFORMED AT 121,351 miles Brakes - low mileage since front calipers and pads replaced, before I purchased but inspected. New tires. New shocks (all 4). New front wheel bearings. New Alternator. New Clutch Fan. New AC compressor (converted to r134a, needs recharge). New distributor. New battery. New heater blend door. New blower motor resistor. New blower motor. New water temp sending unit (to gauge). New water temp sending unit (to PCM). New TPS. New throttle cable. New universal joint (rear shaft to axle). New thermostat. Restored dash cluster with white dimmable LED bulbs. Original 302 (first year EFI). Original AOD overdrive transmission, kick-down adjusted, fluid and filter changed. New door latch posts (both). New door seals (both). Serviced window cranks/tracks, smooth operation. All original glass. New blinker relay. New cowl gasket. Muffler has some rust holes but pipes are fine. Catalytic converter is free of restrictions and intact. No smoke on startup, does not burn oil, top end is quiet. The only noise from engine bay is the fuel pressure regulator - normal.

Exterior

New marker light and front blinker housings (stock). New tail light housings (stock). New headlights (glass housings) with LED bulbs. New front grill and headlight bezels (stock). Replaced Ford emblem on grill (used OEM in good condition). No dents, no accident repair, no damage. All original trim. Dealer option step bumper. Bottom edge of tailgate (inside) has some rust pitting, not structural and not visible from the outside). Mirrors are original and in excellent condition. NO BOLT ON MODS! Looks like it did from the dealer lot in 1985.

Interior

New ABS molded dash cover (Coverlay) Previous owner reupholstered the seat. It's worn but not torn. Door plastics are baked and faded but all there. Gauge cluster restored (refreshed needles, lighting, and shift indicator cable replaced). All indicators and features work perfectly. Floor mat is cracked on either side of the tunnel but all there. All dash components/trim are present and properly mounted. Pioneer stereo mounted in original opening and new Polk door speakers installed in factory door locations. Original ignition, cranks, switches and pedals, nothing has been modified or replaced. New door locks installed as driver door lock was difficult to operate (tumblers were shot). Sliding rear operates smooth. Seat adjustment works smooth. Heater/defrost/vent works perfect, AC needs recharged - converted to r134a and new compressor.
