Classic Car Overview
The truck was repainted in silver under previous ownership and features a black Softopper soft top, a drop-down tailgate, side vent windows, swing-away side mirrors, and chrome bumpers. The weatherstripping on the doors and windows was replaced in 2021. The Carfax report lists accident damage in a February 2008 entry, and the seller notes that the left fender was replaced, and the horn was repaired. There are signs of corrosion on one of the B-pillars, and there are paint chips on various panels.
The 15 forged aluminum wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires. The truck features an independent front suspension, power steering, and manually locking hubs. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes. The radius arm bushings were replaced in 2024, and the seller tells us that the rear drums, shoes, and wheel cylinders were replaced in 2019.
The seating surfaces are upholstered in Dark Red cloth and vinyl, which is complemented by a color-keyed dash and vinyl sun visors. Under current ownership, the front captains chairs were reupholstered, and the window motors, front seatbelts, and the drivers window switch and connector were replaced. A Nakamichi head unit is paired with Kicker speakers and a Bazooka subwoofer. The truck is equipped with an air conditioning system, but it does not work. There are cracks in the dashboard, and the rear window motor is currently not functional.
The steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 60k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership. The Carfax report notes a potential odometer rollover in a June 2006 entry.
Power is provided by a 5.0-liter Windsor V8 with electronic fuel injection, and it was factory rated at 150 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. The seller tells us that the EGR valve, and the spark plugs and wires, as well as the distributor cap and rotor have been replaced in 2019.
A four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a limited-slip rear differential complete the powertrain.
