1985 Ferrari Mondial Cabriolet This 1985 Ferrari Mondial Quattrovalvole 2+2 Cabriolet with coachwork by Pininfarina is an excellent original example that would benefit from minor cosmetics and servicing. Silver with black leather interior and 65k miles. It runs and drives but should not be considered truly roadworthy without mechanical servicing. The paint and interior are also showing their age at this point with flaws in several areas. The soft-top is in good condition overall. Offered with a clean Carfax report. The Mondial QV Cabriolet model was produced between 1983 and 1985 with a small production run of 629 units worldwide. Powered by a 3.0-liter V8 engine rated at 240 hp with 4 valves per cylinder. The 4-seat mid-engine Ferrari is equipped with a gated 5-speed manual transmission, air conditioning, power brakes, power steering, and power windows. It was Ferraris first effort at building a car suitable for markets throughout the world. The Mondial was good for 140 mph-plus and its ride quality and comfort scored over long distances. Considerably roomier than previous Ferrari 2+2s, the Pininfarina-styled Mondial has been described by Car magazine as, the closest youll get to supercar family transport. The Mondial Cabriolet arrived in 1983 and quickly secured the model for Ferrari as it increased sales in the States, it would lead production to run right up to 1993. This particular example represents a superb value.
