1985 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Coupe
Coupe Car for sale in Belton, Missouri 64012
From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.
The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.

Classic Car Overview
1985 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Coupe $11,599
I have a beautiful 1985 Chevy Caprice Landau Coupe. It has 42,000 original miles. I have owned this car for almost 8 years, I have all the maintenance records. It has been kept in a garage for those 8 years. I take exceptional care of this car. It has the original 305 V8. I installed a new Edelbrock 600 cfm carburetor in Aug of 2013. It runs very good. The only thing on the interior that just went out was the power seat. It still hums when you try to move it, maybe a gear slipped, not sure. It has a small leak from the engine, I believe a gasket or seal has dried up since I do not drive this car very much. The interior is in outstanding condition for a 33 year old car. The only flaw I can see is the cracks on the dash cover. Other than that, the interior is finished in velour crushed blue. It has power windows, locks, seat, cruise control, A/C, rear defroster, tachometer, tilt, and radio (which is a newer install, and I have the original as well, but the face was cut up to use for a bracket for the current radio). Also has four Polk Audio speakers and amplifier, it's not a boom box car, just has a nice sound for 4 speakers. I have the original wheels and tires, as well as all four hub caps and associated hardware. The car has a spare tire, which is still good, bought in 2013. I installed two new mufflers back in 2011 and also ran new pipes out the back (nice long chrome ones). It has a receiver for towing, I believe it can tow between 5,000 and 7,000 pounds (7,000 lbs requires special equipment). I had this installed in 2015. The hitch is wired and is ready to tow if need be. It just passed another year for safety inspection in the state of Missouri. The tags expire July of 2019. Trunk is fully carpeted, minimal staining. The windows are tinted 35% all the way around and a 5% brow on the windshield. The vinyl top is almost mint except for one little pea sized hole which was there when I purchased it. It has been painted before I bought the car, very nice paint, it does have a few blemishes though. All the trim pieces are intact, to include all bright work, Landau trim pieces, the chrome has almost zero pitting, all the bumper rubber is present and still has a rich black color with the white pipping in the middle. There is a dent on the roof about quarter sized, on the painted part.
