Vortex V8 Custom Build AC TMI Interior

This 1985 Chevrolet C10 is a freshly completed custom build that blends classic style with modern performance. Power comes from a machined and rebuilt 5.3-liter Vortec V8, installed in 2024, paired with a rebuilt four-speed automatic transmission and a 2,800-rpm stall torque converter. A ten-bolt rear end puts the power to the pavement, while full-length headers feed into a dual stainless exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers, offering both performance and sound.

The trucks exterior is finished in a striking orange and white two-tone, featuring a cowl hood, faux wood bed floor, and 20 U.S. Mags alloy wheels mounted with Landsail tires (245/40 front, 275/40 rear). The ride height has been lowered, and braking is handled by power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums.

Inside, the cab has been completely re-trimmed using a TMI interior kit, including black leather and suede bucket seats, a center console, and matching door panels. A new carpet kit has been installed along with power windows, a tilt steering column with an aftermarket steering wheel, and a RetroSound stereo. The cabin is also equipped with a Vintage Air climate control system to keep things comfortable year-round.

Instrumentation is provided by a Dakota Digital gauge cluster that includes a 160-mph speedometer, tachometer, dual digital displays, and readouts for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The digital odometer currently shows only 30 miles, reflecting the distance driven since the builds completion.

Under the hood, the attention to detail continues with a custom-finished underhood panel in matching orange and white, a Vortec 6000 engine cover, an aluminum radiator, dual electric fans, and a stainless overflow reservoir. The overall result is a well-executed, high-quality build that offers both modern drivability and classic C10 styling.
