1985 Chevrolet C/K Truck Scottsdale

This one of a kind multi award winning custom has had a frame off restoration. The custom painted chassis has been notched and fitted with air ride by Air Ride specialties. Dropped 3 inch spindles on front. Four link rear suspension with stabilizer bar. Adjustable shock absorbers. Air tanks and compressors have been fitted to chassis under bed at rear of truck. Baer Disc brakes have been installed on all 4 corners and a electric power brake booster has been installed on chassis. Over 100 body modifications have been done on the sheet metal.

The inside of hood has an inner skin added and painted the same as the top of hood. The body line has been lowered 5 inches in front tapering to 10 inches at rear of bed attaching to a rear roll pan. Reworked wheel well openings have been lowered and shaped to the contour of the wheels. Shaved door handles, drip rails, all trim removed, tailgate latch moved to inside of box, third brake light installed on rear of cab. 1991 Cadillac taillights have been frenched into rear corners of bed.

The 1974 Corvette four bolt main 383 stroker engine has been balanced and blueprinted and has a custom 8 stack Kinsler fuel injection system with a F.A.S.T. computer and MSD6A ignition dynoed at 430 h.p. The tru trac serpentine belt system is by Billet Specialties. All hard lines on engine are custom stainless steel including the A/C lines hooking up to the Vintage Air air conditioning installed. Two Spal 12 inch electric fans with controller attached to a 3 inch core custom fitted radiator. Super Comp. 2 inch headers and 3 inch ceramic coated exhaust H pipe hook up to stainless steel Magnaflow mufflers and exit into quad stainless steel exhaust on both sides of box in front of rear wheel openings.

The transmission is a 700R4 with a shift performance kit installed and was rebuilt in 2022. The aluminum drive shaft hooks up to a Auburn 3:42 posi traction rear end.

The interior has a like new padded dash in chocolate leather, as is the upper part of the door panels and the panels behind the seats. The 1991 silverado bucket seats have been custom fit and reformed and covered with harvest gold leather that shows as new. The carpets are dark brown as are the matching floor mats. A 1991 Cadillac console has been custom fit between the seats. Tachometer, four analog gauges have been installed under dash. A Lokar floor shifter has been installed with digital readout. A Panasonic am/fm/cd/bluetooth/usb/siriusxm radio with hide-a-way screen installed in original place in dash and speakers in doors and behind seats. A Grants billet steering wheel has been wrapped in gold leather. The interior has been painted with Saffron Firemist gold, a one year only color for 1998 Volvo station wagon as has the engine bay and the inside of hood.

The truck bed has the gas filler doors moved inside on both sides fitted into custom panels from wheel wells to front of box which also serve as storage boxes. The floor has been fitted with a 1 inch red oak one piece plywood to smooth out the bed floor and covered with the same quality carpet leather bound as the cab interior. The interior of the bed has been painted root beer and the batteries have been moved one on each side to the rear of bed and covered with chocolate leather wrapped boxes. The inside of tailgate is also covered in carpet with leather bound edges as are the gas door fillers and the storage boxes. The gas filler door covers are stainless steel from the 1999 Mustang Bullit concept.

The wheels are Avante Garde custom ordered to fit this truck with one off bolt pattern and are 8x20 on front and 9.5x20 on rear. The tires are Toyo Proxies 4 and are 245/35R/20 on front and were new in July 2023 and 275/45R/20 on rear and show no wear. Power Steering is also fitted to the truck. The cargo area is protected by a lockable fiberglass bed cover and the truck has been fitted with electronic hood latch opener and electronic door openers. The wiper cowl goes with the truck in the event that the next owner wishes to have working wipers. The wiper motors are on the truck.

The paint on this truck is all House of Kolors. Kandy apple red flames, tangerine kandy on the upper side of the flames and kandy root beer below the flames. There are also two types of flames. The traditional style and a trufire flame that is ghosted under the traditional flames. The flames are pinstripped with limetime green.

The truck was repainted in 2021 for the Motorama Custom Car and Truck show where it received awards for Best Engine, Best Custom Truck, and Best Paint Outstanding Use of Color. These are just some of the modifications on this vehicle that are too numerous to list.
