From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.
The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.

Classic Car Overview
1985 Buick Riviera Coupe $8,950
Model-year 1985 would prove to be the last year the Buick Riviera, Cadillac Eldorado, and Oldsmobile Toronado would ride on GM’s 114-inch E-Body architecture. For 1986, all three cars would be redesigned and substantially slimmed down on a new 108-inch wheelbase. Stretching just 188 inches, the 1986 Riviera was a full foot and a half shorter than the ’85 model.
Also, noteworthy, 1985 would be the last time a Riviera could be purchased with a V8 engine. Standard was a 307-inch V8, while GM’s ill-fated diesel 350 could have been purchased as a $99 option. A gas-fuelled 350 cubic inch V8 was last offered in the ’83 Riviera.
Masterpiece has to offer a 1985 Buick Riviera which is all original. It has 54,899 miles showing on the odometer and all the options plus the rare factory sunroof. The Buick came from South Dakota and was always garaged in a climate control garage and from its appearance was well cared and maintained. The paint and exterior of the Buick is clean without any nicks, dents or scratches. The burgundy cloth interior shows very little signs of wear and is without tears, rips or wear marks.
The list of options that come with this Buick are: rare factory sunroof, factory air conditioning, power steering with the tilt option, power door locks, power windows and premium AM/FM/cassette stereo with the power antenna.
The 85 is powered by the 307-cubic inch 5.0 litre V8, which is the last year to find this engine in the Riviera and it is matched with the THM325-4L 4-speed automatic. When you turn the key, and fire up the 5.0L engine is runs and drives smoothly through all the gears. There aren’t many of these on the market with the 5.0 liter V8, don’t miss out on this one.
