If you're a fan of vintage Japanese cars, be sure to check out Nissan's online heritage site. There are tons of vintage Nissan pics and specs going all the way back to the 1920s. Each featured car or truck has relevant specs and a little "detail" tab that gives some background on that specific car.
The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.
Classic Car Overview
This 1984 Porsche 944 is finished in Guards Red over black and shows just over 38,750 miles. Power comes from a stock 2.5-liter inline-four, which is paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle. The timing belt was replaced in March 2018. According to its factory sticker, this Porsche was optioned new with a locking differential, Fuchs forged alloy wheels, a 4-spoke steering wheel, and leather/leatherette seat upholstery. Maintenance booklet stamped through 1997 at 33,906 miles, records since the seller s purchase, factory books, two key sets, a clear Carfax, and a clean Florida title.
In June 2016, the seller had the front bumper, hood, and fenders repainted to correct existing stone chips. Evidence of previous paintwork has been found on the right-rear fender behind the wheel arch, and clear coat checking is present in front of the rear wheel arches. The side and rear windows are tinted, while the rest of the exterior appears to have been kept stock. Factory optional 15 Fuchs alloys remain equipped and were fitted with a new set of 215/60 series Yokohama AVID Touring-S tires in August 2014. The black leather seat upholstery displays some wear on the driver s outer bolster as shown above. No interior modifications have been made to the seller s knowledge. Under the hood is a naturally-aspirated 2.5-lier inline-four paired with a rear-mounted 5-speed manual transaxle. In March 2018, Olson Motorsports in Illinois replaced the timing belt, set the timing, and replaced the rear camshaft seal. An engine oil/filter change was also completed on May 30, 2018. Maintenance is documented via the factory booklet, which is stamped from 19 miles to 33,906 miles on April 24, 1997. The accident-free Carfax shows consistent Illinois ownership before being sold to Florida. The odometer showed 35k miles in July 2004 and the vehicle has been driven sparingly since.
