Classic Car Overview

It's with careful consideration that I'm offering my 1984 Mercedes-Benz 300CD for sale. For those who know the W123 chassis, this car needs no introduction. It represents the pinnacle of an era when Mercedes-Benz was famous for over-engineering, and the pillarless coupe design is arguably the most beautiful variant.
The heart of this car is the legendary OM617 5-cylinder turbo diesel engine, an engine widely regarded as one of the most reliable powerplants ever produced. At 213,000 miles, this motor is a testament to that durability and has a tremendous amount of life left. It has been a fantastic, reliable car that turns heads everywhere it goes.
Key Details:
Title: Clean Title in my name
The Good:
Mechanically Sound: The engine starts effortlessly, idles smoothly, and has plenty of power. The 4-speed automatic transmission shifts crisply as it should.
Solid Body: The car is structurally sound with straight body panels. The paint shines up well and presents beautifully for a driver. Chrome is in good condition.
Classic Pillarless Design: All four windows roll down to create a true open-air, hardtop feel that you just can't find in modern cars.
Well-Preserved Interior: The MB-Tex/Leather seats are in great shape with minimal wear and the original Becker radio is still in place.
Functional Systems: Power windows, sunroof, lights, A/C, Cruise Control and vacuum-powered door locks are all in working order.
Maintained many years by same mechanic
Things to Note: As with any 40-year-old vehicle, it's not a concourse car. There are minor cosmetic imperfections consistent with its age and mileage. There are a few small chips in the paint and one door ding, The drivers side passenger window stops lowering half way down, there is a colored spot on the center console carpet, some trim pieces need to be re-attached (all pieces are in good shape) and the tachometer in non-functioning.
This 300CD is the perfect car for an enthusiast looking for a reliable classic to drive on weekends or even use as a uniquely stylish daily driver. It offers a driving experience that is solid, comfortable, and truly unmatched.
