Classic Car Overview

This 1984 Jeep CJ-7 underwent a multi-year refurbishment, work involved replacing the frame with a Throttle Down Kustoms unit, replacing the body with a Willys-Overland Motors steel body tub, refreshing the interior, overhauling the brakes, installing a replacement drivetrain, and more as described below. Power is provided by a 318ci Mopar V8 linked with a shortened Torqueflite 727 three-speed automatic transmission and a Dana 300 dual-range transfer case. Additional equipment includes a Painless Performance wiring harness, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a Weiand intake manifold, a Magnaflow dual exhaust system, a black soft top, removable doors, 15 Dick Cepek wheels, front disc brakes, Nitro 8000 shocks, Rugged Ridge heavy-duty tie rods, Bestop seating, a padded roll bar, and a retro-look digital stereo. The factory body was removed and replaced with a steel body tub sourced from Willys-Overland Motors of Holland, Ohio. The hood, fenders, and tailgate were also replaced, and the truck was repainted in metallic gray. Exterior details include a black soft top, removable doors, polished front bumper, a swing-away rear tire carrier, black wheel arch extensions, dual side mirrors, and Quadratec auxiliary lights. The truck is equipped with Mile Marker manually locking front hubs and rides on a 4 lifted Skyjacker suspension equipped leaf springs and Nitro 8000 shocks at all four corners. The front brake calipers, rotors, and pads were replaced and the rear drums were overhauled as part of the build. Additional installed components include a replacement brake booster, front axle U-joint assembly, and wheel bearings as well as a Hydro 7000 steering damper, a Borgeson heavy-duty steering shaft, Rugged Ridge heavy-duty tie rods, and stainless-steel front brake lines. The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a replacement 85-mph speedometer with inset gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. Auxiliary gauges for amperage and oil pressure are mounted to the right of the speedometer. The five-digit odometer was reset during the build and now shows 1,400 miles, which is said to represent the distance driven since completion of the project. Total chassis mileage is unknown. The 318ci Mopar V8 has been rebuilt prior to installation. The engine wears a polished air cleaner housing and valve covers, and additional installed components include a Holley 600-cfm four-barrel carburetor, a Weiand intake manifold, and a Painless Performance wiring harness. The carburetor was rebuilt, an aluminum radiator was installed, the fuel pump was relocated to the rear of the vehicle.Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a Torqueflite 727 three-speed automatic transmission and a Dana 300 dual-range transfer case. The replacement frame was sourced from Throttle Down Kustoms of Moore, Montana, and the transmission was shortened and rebuilt prior to installation. A Magnaflow dual exhaust system was installed as well. There is nothing left to do on this beautiful Jeep CJ7 just hoop in it and enjoy it.We offer financing and nationwide shipping.
