The Most Desirable Corvette Ever?

Classic Car Overview

1984 Chevrolet Blue Corvette Why This Vehicle is Special Chevrolet designed an all-new Corvette in 1984 that marked a profound turning point in the proud Corvette lineage. It was a complete performance machine that manifested much more than Corvettes traditional attributes of styling distinction and power. It was a Corvette equally adept at cornering, braking, top speed and acceleration, a Corvette that bent brute strength with luxury and comfort, a Corvette that introduced new standards or precision, control, style and finesse. We have a pretty blue 1984 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe for sale here at Skyway Classics with only a tad over 53k miles on it! Features 1984 Chevrolet Blue Corvette Car Of The Year in 1984 53k miles on it! 5.7 350 cubic inch L83 V8 Cross Fire engine 230 horsepower Automatic transmission Twin-throttle-body Cross-Fire Injection High-performance engines with the Computer Command Control automatically advancing the spark curve to provide maximum performance advantage Top speed of 142 MPH and 0 to 60 MPH times of 6.4 seconds Girlock four-wheel disc brake system Factory original cold-air induction system Clamshell hood Stainless steel headers Traditional Corvette dual exhaust One-piece, cast magnesium covers for the air cleaner and valve covers Power steering Air Conditioning Sport Bucket Seats in blue cloth upholstery Factory steering wheel Corvette communication center displayed in vivid detail with Electronic liquid crystals display multicolored readouts Delco-GM/Bose stereo radio system Blue carpets, door panels, and center console all looking factory fresh Hidden headlights, integrated halogen fog lamps, Front and rear side-mounted cornering lamps, frameless glass rear window doubles as a hatch, removable one-piece roof, and four functional circular taillights. Nice blue original paint Rides on factory nag wheels and black sidewall tires Mechanical Our 1984 Corvette has a 5.7 350 cubic inch L83 V8 Cross Fire engine that has 230 horsepower paired with an automatic transmission. This Vette is a lot of fun to drive. At the heart of it all is the twin-throttle-body Cross-Fire Injection V8. This was basically one of the worlds first high-performance engines with the Computer Command Control automatically advancing the spark curve to provide maximum performance advantage. On the track at the GM Proving Ground, this power plant has delivered top speed of 142 MPH and 0 to 60 MPH times of 6.4 seconds. It stops as well as it accelerates too with its Girlock four-wheel disc brake system, the Corvette can decelerate from its top speed as high as 1.0g. Girlock is internationally respected for high performance and racing brake expertise. Theres a factory original cold-air induction system supplying air to the engine by a twin-duct arrangement designed integrally with the clamshell hood. Stainless steel headers lead to an exhaust system that is carefully engineered to fit the new undercarriage configuration yet maintains the high-flow characteristics of the traditional Corvette dual exhaust. And no other car has anything quite like the one-piece, cast magnesium covers for the air cleaner and valve covers and the engine and engine compartment looks as new. It rides on factory nag wheels and black sidewall tires Interior The interior features a pair of optional Sport Bucket Seats in blue cloth upholstery that looks very sharp. It pairs well with the exterior and has no rips, tears, to holes. Looking past the factory steering wheel you will see the Corvette communication center which, at the time, no-one had ever seen an instrument panel like this one, at least not in a vehicle designed to remain on the ground. A multitude of relevant information is electronically displayed in vivid detail like the Electronic liquid crystals display multicolored readouts, analog and digital, Speed, engine revolutions, and numerical readouts of engine and electrical conditions, fuel consumption and trip mileage data are provided in your choice of language with the entire system illuminated brightly enough to be read easily even in full daylight. It has the Delco-GM/Bose stereo radio system, blue carpets, door panels, and center console all looking factory fresh. Exterior The all-new bodies on these 1984 Corvettes were like nothing ever before with the most acute windshield rake for a production car, 64.7 degrees, hidden headlights, integrated halogen fog lamps, Front and rear side-mounted cornering lamps, frameless glass rear window doubles as a hatch, removable one-piece roof, and four functional circular taillights. Ours is painted in a nice blue and is original and the exterior looks good. Overall, this car is in great condition. Conclusion This is a fantastic functioning 1984 Corvette we have here at Skyway Classics that is worth your time to come see and drive.
