1984 Chevrolet C/K Truck K10

For sale in St. Johns, Florida is my clean-title 1984 Chevrolet K10 Silverado short-bed 4x4. I have owned the truck since 2013 and built it as a thoroughly modernized, turnkey square-body driver. The odometer currently shows approximately 71,500 indicated miles, with only about 10,500 miles added during my ownership. Every major drivetrain component was installed during that period, including a Blueprint 383 with an estimated 7,000-8,000 miles and a Mad Dog 700R4 crate transmission with fewer than 10,000 miles. The truck combines the desirable short-bed K10 configuration with a custom black interior, gunmetal Avery wrap, blacked-out exterior details and a renewed drivetrain from the engine through both axles.

POWERTRAIN AND DRIVETRAIN

The truck is powered by a Blueprint Engines BP38313CT1 383 stroker crate engine, factory rated at 430 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. It is equipped with an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap intake, Holley Sniper EFI, HyperSpark computer-controlled ignition and Hooker Competition long-tube headers.

The engine is backed by a new Mad Dog Transmissions Level 3 Stage 2 700R4 crate transmission with a 2,400-rpm stall converter and transmission cooler. The transfer case was professionally rebuilt by Hi-Tech Transmissions.

The rear axle has 4.10 gears with an Eaton posi/limited-slip unit. The front axle was recently completed with matching 4.10 gears, new axle shafts and Warn manual locking hubs. The four-wheel-drive system is fully matched and ready to use.

DUAL-TANK EFI FUEL SYSTEM

Unlike many EFI-converted square bodies, this truck retains its fully functional factory-style dual-tank capability. The system includes two replacement 16-gallon fuel tanks, dedicated electric fuel pumps, replacement sending units, EFI-compatible plumbing, filtration and functional selector controls.

AIR CONDITIONING

The air-conditioning system has been converted to R134a with a replacement compressor. It has been professionally charged and blows cold. The dual electric-fan controls were also professionally corrected so fan operation is automatic whenever the A/C requires it.

EXTERIOR AND SUSPENSION

The truck has a modern monochromatic appearance with a gunmetal Avery full-vehicle wrap paired with:

The odometer currently shows approximately 71,500 indicated miles. The truck showed approximately 61,000 miles when I purchased it in 2013, meaning approximately 10,500 miles have been added during my ownership.

Every major drivetrain component was installed during that ownership period. Estimated component mileage is approximately:

- Blueprint 383 engine: 7,000-8,000 miles
- Mad Dog 700R4 transmission: fewer than 10,000 miles
- Professionally rebuilt transfer case: fewer than 100 miles
- Rear 4.10 gear and Eaton posi setup: approximately 5,000 miles
- Front 4.10 gears, axle shafts and Warn hubs: newly completed

Component-mileage figures are good-faith owner estimates based on installation sequence and vehicle use rather than separate certified odometers.

This is a well-documented owner-built truck, with professional specialty work and invoices where appropriate. Organized build sheets, redacted current-owner receipts and a separate prior-owner packet documenting replacement body metal and suspension work are available for serious buyers.

CONDITION DISCLOSURE

The truck presents very well but is not represented as a frame-off, concours or flawless show-truck restoration. A few previously sanded areas beneath the hood wrap can show slight waviness in certain lighting, and there is a small cut in the wrap on one fender. These are cosmetic and do not affect drivability.

The interior door panels and ashtray cover have minor cosmetic wear and are being refreshed in matching black.

This K10 is being sold as a completed, mechanically sorted and highly documented custom driver rather than an untouched original or concours restoration.
