Classic Car Overview

This is a Volkswagon Riviera Vanagon Camper and not a Westfalia. The Westfalia and Riviera Vanagon campers are different because they are different conversions - no relation. Westfalia is a brand, not a style. This was the official conversion offered by VW in the US. Vanagon Westfalia's were assembled from unfinished vans in Germany and imported here as campers. vanagon Riviera's were converted to campers here in the US from completed passenger models. Rivieras  are less common and are mostly found on the Westcoast. Both styles are exact with respect to layout and finishes with the only difference being how the pop top opens up. The Westfalia opens at a 45 degree angle and the Riviera opens up vertically offering more head room that the Westfalia. This vehicle has 211k original miles with 15k on new rebuilt 1.9L engine. Over 18k in updates and upgrades with receipts. There are some minor interior cosmetic problems which include missing arm rest on driver seat, the fuel gage does not work however I have replaced the fuel sending unit so the fault is with gauge/clock itself. The slide door interior panel is missing. The refrigerator does not work due to a loose wire connection. The interior of the pop top has a crack in the corners and needs to be replaced with new formica. There is one spring that is missing on the pop top as well but easy to replace. The carpet needs to be replaced and that is a pre made kit and runs about 500.00 just need to pick your color. I have done everything with respect to the exterior in updates and upgrades and was getting to the interior however, I had a death in the family and just have lost interest in doing much more. The following is a complete list of what I have down to the vehicle.  (1).New front and rear bumpers with end caps - The Bus Depot $704.97 (2). New front mirrors - The Bus Depot $153.60 (3).
