Classic Car Overview

Luxury Motorcars is very excited to be offering this wonderful example of a 1983 Porsche 911 SC for sale. The last owner, a former PCA president, had the car for 14 years and did a spectacular job as its custodian. Over the years it was modified to compete in the occasional Porsche Club sanctioned autocross event as well as spirited weekend drives. While its not unusual for well intentioned owners to miss the mark when trying to improve a Porsche, this car is quite the opposite. The end result of obsessive levels of attention to detail shone through both in how it looks and how it drives. If you havent been lucky enough to spend time in an SC or any other air-cooled 911 it is difficult to convey how much better this car feels from behind the wheel. In almost every measurable way it is a marked improvement in performance and conveys a feeling of being extremely well sorted. The attention to detail didnt start and end with the mechanical side, its also been through a bare metal, glass out, repaint in its original Grand Prix White. It had its carpet, seats, door panels, and steering wheel replaced along with a myriad of other components. Components were modified, tested, replaced, and refined to get ever closer to a more perfect Porsche. It is an absolutely incredible machine and the next owner will be very lucky to inherit the fruits of this labor of love.List of Modifications, upgrades and repairs:Turbo Tie RodsCarrera Sway BarsLowered suspension (slightly below European ride height)Pop-Off ValveOil Fed Chain TensionersSSI Heat exchangersDansk Sport MufflerEarly Turbo style tail (70s Vintage, original included)Front lower spoiler lip16x7 and 16x8 MSW Alloy Wheels16/225/50 Front Tires (New in May 2025)16/245/45 Rear Tires (New in May 2025)Front fender edge is rolled to accommodate wider tiresFull Bare Metal Repaint in the Original Color (Grand Prix White)Rear Bumperettes Removed holes welded closed in repaintHeadlight washers removed holes welded closed in repaintWindow washer fluid container removed to save weightRadio removed (radio delete panel added)MagSafe cell phone mount added to radio delete panelAntenna hole welded closed in repaintNew Porsche dash top installed as part of repaintNew headliner installed as part of repaintAll new door, deck, window, and frunk rubber sealsRS Carpet in BlackCustom Door Panel Modifications- Door pockets removed- Internal door handles replaced with RS type pulls and straps- Door Speakers removed- Burgundy door top trim replaced with blackOriginal seats replaced with period correct Porsche Sport Seats in Black/Burgundy full LeatherOriginal shifter replaced with factory Porsche short shift kitRear shift coupler replacedOriginal pedal cluster bushings replaced with long life bronze bushingsAll A/C Components removed to lighten vehicle (compressor, condensers, and tubing)Carpeting removed from front trunkOriginal 45lb battery replaced with 15lb gel cell battery and moved to smugglers boxBattery replaced in 2025Cruise Control removedHeating backdated to clean up engine compartmentAlternator and fan replaced in 2025Fan Shroud refinishedTachometer refurbished in 2025Turn Signal/High Beam lever cluster replaced with new Porsche unit in 2024Momo style steering wheelStart button addedFresh Air Blower motor replaced in 2024New glass covers for fog lightsIncluded in Sale:New engine sound padOriginal Burgundy rear seat bottoms and backsOriginal Burgundy rear shelfBlack Door PocketsDoor handles and hardwareOriginal Burgundy door top trimOriginal Deck Lid repainted at the same time as the rest of the car Visit Luxury Motorcars online at www.luxmotorcars.com to see more pictures of this vehicle.
