1983 Datsun 280ZX
If you're a fan of vintage Japanese cars, be sure to check out Nissan's online heritage site. There are tons of vintage Nissan pics and specs going all the way back to the 1920s. Each featured car or truck has relevant specs and a little "detail" tab that gives some background on that specific car.
The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.
Classic Car Overview
Last year of this body style. 5 speed tranny, power windows work, engine runs\sounds super strong. Same owner 15 years, adult enthusiast, babied. ALL maintenance records, the file is about 2 inches thick. Original owners manual. See link below for videos and complete posting on Classic Cars.com.
Basically, super well maintained, documented, unrestored, original condition vehicle. Original paint, interior, engine, everything original except consumables and repairs: struts, alternator, all belts, hoses, rubber bushings, rear hatch pistons, etc. Many, many OEM replacement parts. Documented oil changes, brake fluid, power steering, radiator flushes, etc. Kept on trickle charge, so battery is strong. Starts up right away every time. New tires (2000 miles) factory correct. I did upgrade the air conditioning system with a Vintage Air kit, which replaced the antiquated basically crummy 80's tech system for a modern system. Blows super strong and cold. Pioneer bluetooth enabled head unit in glove box, micro phone mounted for hands free cell use. Power antenna does not work, but with bluetooth stereo, streaming from cell is all I needed anyway. Cheap fix ($100?) if you wanted to fix it. Original stereo lights up, but it's not hooked up. Alarm system kills ignition, 3 extra remote door lock\arm alarm fobs, several extra keys. Interior is gorgeous, looks practically new. A one inch crack in the dash, I sealed it so it hasn't grown bigger in 15 years. All digital gauges work, as do analog gauges. This is the rare "GL" or Grand Luxury model (as opposed to the "base" model) and has the rare digital dash and leather seat package option. This is a "turn key" car, needs nothing, and is literally ready to take on a cross country adventure. Maintained by two fantastic Z specialists in Southern California. This is a CA car and has no rust anywhere, whatsoever, not even a speck of surface rust (as far as I can see. If you look with a microscope, you may find some :-) All rubber stripping is soft and pliable, looks newish. Not cracked or hard. No T Top leaks, door leaks, etc. Leather seats have no rips, carpet in excellent original condition. Suede door and seat accents are in new condition. Hatchback pistons replaced, so hatch stays up strong.
Motivated seller, willing to entertain serious, reasonable offer\negotiation, but no low ballers, this is not a "must sell now" situation. This is a fantastic car, perfect for an investor since it is the last year of this model, has rare digital dash and leather seats, is unmolested and unrestored, and needs nothing. It's also perfect for someone who wants to actually hop in and actually drive it. The Bluetooth cell\stereo and ice cold air are also modern luxury's which make it a comfortable Sunday cruiser or daily driver.
