Additional comments:

All camper components work flawlessly (stove, sink). All original curtains included, upholstery in great shape. This van has obviously been loved its entire life. Things to be addressed include possibly replacing. I would upgrade the visors, replace the pop top( small crack which is no sealed) relign the cabinets and maybe delete the tv ( an Ipad has a better photo, but its fun to watch old DVDs) also I would patch s few holes in the screens.

While you can expect this year of Westy to have its particular patina, this is probably the most mechanically well-sorted Vanagon I've seen in quite a long time. The beauty of the air-cooled set up in its simplicity - especially when mated to the 4-speed transmission, makes for a hugely reliable and awesome overland vehicle. This Westfalia is well-suited to overlanding, vanlife, daily driving, or whatever adventure you should want to throw at it. With its great clearance and approach angle and much of the weight over the rear wheels, you can enjoy its off-road capabilities that will deliver you to awesome places. It's no Syncro, but it comes close and gets stares, thumbs-ups, and smiles basically everywhere you take it - mountains to beaches, and everywhere in between
