If you're a fan of vintage Japanese cars, be sure to check out Nissan's online heritage site. There are tons of vintage Nissan pics and specs going all the way back to the 1920s. Each featured car or truck has relevant specs and a little "detail" tab that gives some background on that specific car.
The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.
Classic Car Overview
1982 PORSCHE 911 SC TARGA
This extremely nice 1982 Porsche 911 SC Targa is finished in a Guards Red (G1) with a black leather interior (VD). It is powered by a 2994 cc horizontally opposed air cooled 172 horsepower 6 cylinder engine mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. The car will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 6.9 seconds and has a top speed of 140 mph. Options include a limited slip differential, front and rear spoilers ( the rear whale tail has been removed but is included), sport shock absorbers, alarm, fog lights, cruise control and air conditioning. The vehicle sports European headlights with chrome rings and has been lowered 1”. A Kenwood radio/CD player has been installed. This Porsche is an excellent driver. It starts and runs as it should, and is ready for someone to get in, turn the key and enjoy driving it. The vehicle comes with two set of keys and there is no apparent rust.
The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner. The current owner (who purchased the vehicle in 2016) has made a number of improvements including a new battery, new Firestone Firehawk tires (205 x 16 front, 255 x 16” rear), 4 wheel alignment, new oil pressure sending unit and a major service performed at an authorized Porsche dealer. The driver’s seat shows some wear as does the targa top (which does not leak). The cruise control and air conditioning are all there, but are not functioning.
The vehicle comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, service records from the current owner and a clean Carfax with no damage or accidents reported. Current mileage is 99,236. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase a very nice air cooled Porsche classic for a very reasonable price of $33500.
