Classic Car Overview
Here we have a mint 1982 GMC High Sierra c3500 dually. This thing is probably one of the most built squarebody dually around. 40k invested... Fresh paint and body, crazy built fuel injected 454, double overdrives and beautiful interior. I’m open to reasonable offers and would also be open to trading for a high end pontoon boat the family could enjoy. Happy reading!
Under the hood- there is no stereo system because once you hear this big block you won’t want to listen to anything else ????. This .30 over 454 is based on a marine block with extra thick walls that could easily handle boost if desired.( that was the long term plan). It’s has all forged internals, 10.5:1 compression, all crane roller valve train with AFR cnc ported heads. It’s sports the edelbrock Pro Flo 3 fuel injection system with timing and most other parameters being adjustable from the 7” tablet that has a spot on the dash. The oiling is handled by moroso with a crank scraper and windage tray and pan with high volume pump.
It has a 180 amp single wire Chrome alternator, optima battery, all new wiring, DERALE dual fans run by the edelbrock computer, PSC power steering/hydro boost system with cooler, dual canister crank case evac system, msd coil, 8mm custom wires and a fully detailed engine bay.
Drivetrain- the 454 is backed by th400 built to handle all the towing and driving abuse you could dish out. It has a DERALE large cooler with fan under the truck. Behind the automagic trans sit TWO Gear vendors overdrives units, that if used as splitters and over drives you have 9 gears to play with. Sits manually or automatically controlled depending on how you want to run it. Behind the double GV units sits a 5” custom aluminum drive shaft rated to 170mph based on the 4:10 gears in the corporate 14b dually rear. The truck drives very smooth at 80+ mph.
Interior- the interior has been completely redone and upgraded to the max. New carpet, new trim, new seatbelts, new headliner, padded cab rear panel, upholstered dash, new premium door panels and Lower door carpets from USA1. The seats are from a Dodge Ram and the drivers seat is a 7 way power. They have been refoamed and upholstered as needed by mikes custom upholstery. The center console folds up to make a split bench and the under the split bench is a nice storage area. It has a new tilt steering column. The interior has been fully soundproofed and weather stripped, pretty quiet! Now... to my favorite part. The Dakota digital HDX gauges. You really owe it to your self to check these out!
Paint and body-the paint and body was redone 2 years ago by a reputable body shop and watched by me the entire way through the process. There was no almost no rust on the truck so body work was minimal. It’s black ????. The only thing that needs done is one little PDR on the hood and a color sand. It looked very nice without it and the guy is very busy so just rant gotten around to it yet. For a few pennies more this could be done and have almost flawless paint. It’s has new bumpers front and back with the hard to find drop bumper on the rear. A class V hitch for towing with a nice trailer brake controller.
HVAC-the original HVAC system has been replaced by a vintage air system that cleans up the firewall and keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Nuff said...
Other- the truck has a high end northern tool gloss black with the push button releases and locks. It also has a goose ball and brake plug under the tonneau cover that has a metal frame, assist lifts and a soft cover. As for the 2wd it was originally planned to be converted to a 4wd but after paint and body I decided it was to nice to want to take off road anyway. Now if a guy wanted to make it 4wd there are lots of kits and ways to do it, I just decided to keep it 2wd. There’s a million other things I can’t think of but will add them as I think of them.
