The Collector Edition was the last of the C3 generation, so it came with unique design elements such as silver-beige metallic paint with a fading shadow treatment and pin stripes, a frameless glass rear hatch, silver-beige leather bucket seats and door panels. Also has removable bronze color glass roof panels. Engine is a 5.7L L83 V8 with Cross-Fire Injection, four speed automatic transmission with overdrive.
Only 6,759 of these Collector Editions were produced. I am the third owner and have owned the car for 20 years.
Previous owner installed custom exhaust with new catalytic converters, aluminum heads, hooker headers, aluminum water pump, high torque starter, roller rocker arms, etc. Smog equipment has been removed. I replaced the hatch hinges with custom built hinges made from aircraft aluminum that will not stretch.
