The Best Part is It all works the Flux Capacitor lights up, the dates can be set and change, the petroleum gauges work, all lights etc. A few fresher modifications have been done to ensure reliability and functionality. The original build called for Neon lights but as you know Neon is fragile and breaks so LED’s were used in its place, a Fog Machine was installed and vented through the back and around the wheels, a invertor was installed so not only can you operate[JM1] these funds from batteries while at a show you can plug it in and set the timing to fog up , light up etc…
This thing has just the Coolest Back to the Future accessories just like the movie MR. Fusion is installed, but the absolute BEST OF THE BEST is the functionality of the Drive 88 MPH and what it does !!! Because at 88 Mph the car does some tricky stuff the Flux Capacitor Light Up, the dates will flip from Designation Date to New Date arrived, the petroleum Gauges spin and lights up just like Marty McFly did in the MOVIE Now How cool is THAT!!! There are other options and sequences that allow for this function while on display at a event etc and that is detailed in the video.
Now on to the car itself this is an Original 1981 DeLorean DMC 12 that was Purchased in San Leandro , Ca on Oct, 13 1982 at a Cash price of $20,250.00 . Equipped its original engine trans and components the actual car has only 12,400 miles itself. The Body is still in excellent condition interior is like new, its original gauges etc all work as they should. As a stand-alone Low Mile DeLorean the car has significant Collector value and with the addition of the Back to the Future Motif its cool factor raises the bar for these cars and its value far exceeds the norm. If one where to buy a Car from Bob’s Props Shop in Texas Im told a standard build exceeds 80k and you must provide the car, adding to repairs etc to complete I’ve heard these custom Back to the Future Versions can cost upwards of $130,000.00 Here is your chance to buy on at a fraction of that and enjoy it as you wish.
