Classic Car Overview

Monster (AKA my "Devil in a blue dress) was built in Aug, 1981 early-build truck retains it's factory-correct (rebuilt) automatic transmission (confirmed by the VIN) and has been upgraded with a professionally rebuilt 22R engine for improved reliability. The original carburetor has also been professionally rebuilt. The frame is solid, the coolant system works great, new fuel pump, gauges work, and the oil/coolant receive regular maintenance. The original AC is missing. The tires (and the spare) are all new. There is a mix of new and original engine parts and some parts that have been salvaged from other Hilux's in the junkyard. This truck is a head turner - an absolute classic. Why am I selling? Honestly I'm conflicted between selling and getting it restores so make me an offer I can't refuse. I planned to restore it myself but my new home doesn't have a garage and there is still a lot to do. There is on small rust hole on the floor (see pictures). There is surface rust but the body and bed are solid. Watch the video to hear it run, see the engine, and learn more. The dash is damaged (see photo). The milage posted reflects the miles on the new/restored engine. Currently kept under a cover (as pictured). This truck is a great candidate for restoration. I can upload more photos.
