Classic Car Overview

Here is a really stunning example of a Bentley T2. Finished in a rarely seen 2-tone Nutmeg over Walnut with a delightful combination of white and umber fine lines to the waist-rails and hubcap beauty rings. The interior has handsome dark chocolate Connolly hides with cream piping and matching dark brown carpets with the same cream contrast. The chocolate & cream theme carries through to the boot.

Only a very small number of Bentley T2s were made. They are the twin sister to the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II. It is differentiated by a Bentley radiator grille, mascot and Flying B. It has a slightly lower bonnet (hood) with different shaping in the sheet metal and with the car having Bentley hubcaps, boot and head-light brow badging.

Their limited number is notable; out of the 10,000 odd Shadow IIs manufactured (including their long wheel base derivatives; the Wraith II) only 5% were Bentley T2s. This makes them highly desirable in their category.

What makes this T2 even more special is that it is one of the last cars built and made to Californian specification fuel injection. This is very rare for a Bentley T2. If you then take into consideration the even smaller amount that are left remaining there are probably only 10 fuel injected Bentley Ts left world-wide.

And the final option of rarity, she sports a dealer fitted glass sun-roof. The combination of all these features and items, including the rare colour combination would make her 1-of-1!

This is an unmolested example that has been beautifully maintained and presents in marvelous condition. It is primarily all original with no modifications - right down to the original Blaupunkt blue dot radio. This was a west coast and then Texan car all its life so it is a dry example that has had a garaged environment. As a result, it has been freed from the perils of harsh weather and is very clean underneath. It has always been well maintained and serviced and comes with its original manual.

The interior looks close to perfect. The dark chocolate leather is in absolutely outstanding condition with no tears nor fading and true to its Connolly characteristics. The leather really has been lovingly preserved. The driver seat cushion was refinished by a previous owner. Aside, the leather has never been redyed or fettered with. The burr walnut wood throughout the car is in good original condition but not perfect with some minor hairline fractures (rather typical for Silver Shadow). We think its originality over-powers the patina but should you feel otherwise, let us know and we can refinish as Park-Ward does this in-house.

The head lining is original and in excellent condition. The original Wilton wool carpets with leather binding are in excellent condition. Likewise is the leather finish to the dash and top-roll. The car comes with a set of chocolate lambswool moutons.

The exterior presentation of this Bentley T2 is lovely. The body is exceptionally straight. The paint is predominantly all factory original and so does show some polish blemishes but presents very well with a good lustre. There are some minor marks here and there but mentioned only out clear disclosure. It certainly presents very well for driver enjoyment in what we would describe enthusiast quality as opposed to true show quality. Rest assured, however, you could take her as-is to any car display with pride and confidence. Polish and wax her once a year and she will provide many years of enjoyment.

The hubcaps are excellent with no imperfections in the stainless rings or caps. All remaining bright-work is in good condition.

Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. You must take the time to look at t
