1980 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe
The 1967 Corvette is considered the most-loved Corvette ever produced. The combination of classic C2 styling, along with an incredible array of powertrain and comfort options, makes it one of the most desirable Corvettes ever. Not bad for a car that was never supposed to be made!
The ZR-1's production run from 1990-95 was one of the most exciting times for Corvette enthusiasts in recent memory. In the mid-1980s, rumors of a "King of the Hill" Corvette began to leak out of Detroit and into America's speed shops and dealerships.
Classic Car Overview
I bought this car in 2004 and have loved it for 14 years. I am the third owner and the seller said that the car has the original motor and transmission. I am regrettably letting it go but it's time for someone else to enjoy it. It sat without running for a couple of years due to a brake pressure issue i couldn't resolve. I finally took it to DMS Corvettes in Dallas and had them overhaul everything that it needed. They dropped the fuel tank and rebuilt it, did the fuel lines, brake lines, custom calipers all around(now stops better than factory), rebuilt the parking brake system and several other minor things. They overhauled the carb and installed bigger jets, new fuel pump, new water pump, new heater core and I put a new set of Cooper Cobra radials on. It starts runs and drives beautifully.

Minor issues: The valve-covers need to be resealed, they leak a little oil. The car had a new AC compressor when i bought it in '04 but the AC didn't work and I've never messed with it; i assume it's still an R12 system. I had to replace the high-low beam switch years ago and did not bother to drop the column to hook it up to the column lever. It's never been an issue for me but I'm able to reach under the dash while driving and switch it if i need to.
The interior is in really good condition. The dash has no cracks in it and things have been well cared for. I recently had it inspected again and there were no issues. This car has lived in the garage for most of its life. I know for a fact it's been in mine for 14 years, the only time it has even gotten wet was for a hand-wash. This car is just a pleasure to take the t-tops off on a warm summer night and go for a cruise.
