1979 Pontiac Firebird

Pontiac released 7500 10th Anniversary Trans Ams to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the first Trans Am that rolled off the line in 1969. This was a limited production run of only 7500 Trans Ams. The only options that were available on the 10th Anniversary Trans Am was the powertrain options. 5,683 were built with the 6.6 Litre Oldsmobile 403 and a Turbo Hydramatic 350 automatic. All of the anniversary Trans Ams were loaded with virtually every option. Silver upholstery with leather inserts was exclusive in 79 to the 10th Anniversary Trans Am. Red lighting for the instruments was also unique to these cars. Power windows and locks were standard. Silver-and-charcoal scheme on the hood. A new cast-aluminum turbo wheel design, measuring 15 x 8 inches and special red lighting for the instruments. The WS6 Special Performance Package is also included.
