The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.
Classic Car Overview
The
MGB is a sports car that MG introduced to replace the MGA in 1962. The roadster
was the first body style to be released and was a pure two seater. By making
better use of space the MGB was able to offer more passenger and luggage space
than the MGA while being 3 inches shorter overall. The suspension was also
softer, giving a smoother ride and the larger engine gave a slightly higher top
speed. Wind-up windows were standard, a parcel shelf was fitted behind the
seats and a comfortable driver's compartment offered plenty of legroom. The
MGB's performance was considered brisk at the time of its introduction with a
1798cc engine rated at 95 hp that was capable of a 0–60 mph time of just
over 11 seconds. The MGB was one of the first cars to feature controlled
crumple zones designed to protect the driver and passenger in an impact. This
particular example has 93,277 original miles and was repainted in its original
color of Pageant Blue some time ago and it is showing its age. With the
exception of the heater everything is working as it should. It has an upgraded
Alpine stereo with a USB input and newer speakers. The original cockpit cover
and spare are included as shown in the pix. It runs great and sounds awesome
with its newer performance exhaust. We would consider this an average car and
as such would appraise it at $12,150. We know the market is soft and does not
justify the appraisal so we have priced this as a below average car for a quick
sale!
