Classic Car Overview
1979 MG MGB $13,900
Selling a perfectly restored 1979 MGB classic. This vehicles engine drives excellent with great compression, equipped with its original factory 4 speed overdrive which is truly a pleasure to drive.. The engines was upgraded with a new Weber carburetor, Canon manifold, Pace Setter headers, Monza dual exhaust, MGB alloy valve cover, new hood seals, new trunk seals, chrome braided oil line, and new clutch slave. All the fluids were flushed and renewed, including the transmission and overdrive system.The fuel system was flushed and upgraded with a new fuel tank, new fuel pump and filters. Its cooling system was upgraded with a new radiator, new sensor, new overflow tank, thermostat, new water pump, belts, silicone hoses, new heater valve, and heater core was removed/cleaned and resealed with new gaskets.The brakes were completely redone with new rotors, shoes, springs, calipers, and brake lines. The electrical was updated with a new alternator, new sport coil, NGK wires, Champion plugs, windshield washer motor w tank, new battery, new lights and harness. The windshield was removed and was resealed along with both doors and vent windows. The vehicle's exterior was totally striped and all existing rust was professionally cut and re-welded with new metal which was primed and properly sealed by a professional car restoration shop (have pictures). This beauty was then coated with a high quality 7 year paint (PGA) and clear that costs $4,500. The original rims were sandblasted and powder coated by Pacific Powder coating and new tires were mounted on all 5 rims. The seats were removed and re-cushioned while the interior was upgraded with new performance floor insulation. The interior was completely upgraded with new panels, new rugs, quality wood steering wheel, shift boot, new dashboard and all gauges were cleaned. It's sound system was also enhanced with a Bluetooth Kenwood stereo, high quality rear JBL speakers, Kicker speakers on door panel and a new antenna. The soft top is in excellent condition with no tears and in perfect working order. A vintage aftermarket fiberglass hardtop roof, "Snugtop" by Custom Hardtops,. comes with this car. Also included is the original leather tonneau top cover. The cars original Zenith Stromberg carburetor and original emission system can be provided to buyer. This classic is a perfect driving machine that has been totally restored and in great working order for years of fun.
