1979 Mazda RX-7

This beautifully maintained originally owned western and southern state owned 1979 Mazda RX-7 is now available for sale with only 68k miles on it. Its a well-preserved example of the Mazdas sports car of the day. It is equipped with a super cool period correct plaid interior and the 1.2L rotary engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. Im sure its radio has played My Sharona more than once! It was originally purchased in May 1978 in Reno, NV for $9056. At some point later it was re-sold to another in Reno, NV. Most of the maintenance logs are from after 2005: Service (oil change and fluids, etc.) was completed every 2000-3000 miles. 10/2005: Carb adjustment and vacuum leak repair. 11/2008: clutch, pilot bearing and slave cylinder replaced. 12/2010: Idler arm of steering replaced 03/2011: Brake system bled and serviced, new disc pads, brake shoes, rotors and drums. 07/2011: Alternator and voltage regulator replaced 08/2010: exhaust pipe and gaskets replaced. Then SOLD to Purchaser in Las Vegas. 08/2012: Replaced distributor cap and rotor/spark plugs and wires, fuel filter replaced 08/2015: new brake line assembly and brake shoes. 09/2016: AC evacd and charged 10/2017: New battery 07/2016: water level sensor and sela replaced 07/2016: AC compressor and radiator hoses replaced. new spark plugs Also completed: replaced rear shocks and wheel cylinders installed stainless steel brake lines front upper and lower ball joints replaced Replaced outer tie rod ends replaced front sway bar bushings converted to electronic ignition replaced oil metering pump and lines new window crank handles SOLD to individual in Leesburg, VA at 60,823 miles repaired driver seat, serviced window gears, front brake pads replaced, new stereo and antenna, door seals replaced, new washer fluid tank, replaced starter replaced clutch, master cylinder and slave cylinder replaced master brake cylinder, replaced dash indicator lights with LED, reupholstered seats, door interiors and ceiling, 07/2017 added pinstripe, 02/2018 new tires Last SOLD and owned since 07/2020 with 64,000 miles
