There are many CJ's to be found on the web but rare to be found on a new Chassis and with new steel Tub which can claim ZERO RUST and no accidents... This Jeep was built with mechanical and structural integrity, using original electrical wiring harness-stainless steel fasteners and bolts. Originality could not be had with the tub and frame changes, where it was practical many original items were used.
Frame finished in POR 15 satin black and tub in black hot rod primer.
Rancho Springs and shocks, lifted 3-4 inches.
Original 304 V8/5.0L rebuilt with a new Holley 500 cfm 2 barrel carb, new timing/water pump housing and MELLING oil pump. Aluminum 3-core radiator.
.
Rebuilt cast iron 3 speed manual transmission. Cast iron transfer case.
Moser one-piece rear axles in rebuilt AMC rear end. Standard 3:54 gearing front and rear.
Front differential was flushed out with light oil and paint thinner while axles locked and engine running on jack-stands for 30 minutes. Fresh lube and gasket-no leaks.
Ten inch wide wheels, 10.50x31 tires, new Cooper's on rear, older Wranglers on front. Spare wheel (Matching size Wrangler) and one rear wheel are new.
New windshield glass and frame plus more.
New Rugged Ridge seats, fold and tumble rear. All steel locking console with radio compartment.
New SMITTYBILT JK style rear tire
carrier-this puts large wheel and tire weight on the frame not the body.
Much more new or rebuilt items, really a long list.
As seller, it has been owned and garaged for 24 years, with just over 700 miles on engine-its second Castrol 20W50 oil change Sunday June 12.
Motivated seller has grown too old to enjoy it and you don't just get in to this Jeep-you climb in and out. The ride is stiff but it is easy to drive, fresh brakes stop well. V-8 torque will pull from as low as 20 mph in top gear. Transfer case shifts easy into 4WD high or low range, locking hubs turn easy.
All receipts and info. are in a 3-ring binder.
No radio, no air conditioner, good original heater.
Original hood, front grille, tailgate in original paint. Original lights, new side marker lights.
Custom 3 inch roll bar with strong front tube mounts. Custom heavy duty front and rear bumpers with Class ll receiver and trailer connector.
