Here we have a 1979 Ford Thunderbird Town Landau for sale. This is a special opportunity to own a stunning survivor. This car has less than 1,500 original miles on it! Its pictured with the original tires that come with the car and features all the original paint and interior. This time capsule would be a beautiful addition to any collection. The body on it is breathtaking, truly a piece of classic car history that has been impeccable cared for. All the panels are rock solid and have a perfect fit from front to back. Everything is showcased in the original Black paint that we had buffed and polished out to a show quality finish that is sure to turn heads anywhere you go. This Ford features hidden headlights that work as they should and has the original bumpers front and back that have a brilliant finish. The rest of the trim and stainless on this 79 is just as impressive from the side molding to the top molding. This two door Thunderbird features the split vinyl top that is in excellent condition along with all the original glass. The black paint is accented by the red stripe down the sides and the red accents in the fender louver. To finish off the exterior its sitting on the factory wheels that are pictures with the original tires. We have bought a new set of white line tires to keep you safe, but the original tires come with it. Next, we will look at the interior of this 79. On the inside its all original as well and is just as impressive as the rest of the car. It features the light gray color scheme that has the wood grain accents. This Thunder bird has the Power Windows and Power Door locks options along with having the Power Driver Seat. Up front it has the splint bench seat along with having the full bench seat in the back. It features the original carpet and headliner that are both beautiful along with the visors and seal plates. This Thunderbird has tilt column with cruise control option in the factory steering wheel with wood grain accents. The dash also sports the wood grain accents and the original pad is phenomenal. All the factory gauges are just as beautiful as the day it was bought and are all working as they should. Inside the trunk it still has the factory carpet and side inserts along with having the spare and jack. Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Ford. Under the hood is a testament to the originality of it. Everything looks to be as close to stock as you could ask for except for having had a new radiator installed. All the metal looks to be rock solid and well cared for. The power comes from the matching Numbers 351W V8 Engine thats dressed in the factory valve covers and air cleaner. Its set up with the Original 2 Barrel Intake and Motorcraft Carb. This Thunderbird was also equipped with factory AC that we have not converted over to 134 and have not charged since we purchased. It also comes with Power Steering along with Power Brakes that feature disc on the front and drums out back. When we look under it you are sure to get an appreciation for how original this 79 is. It still has the original starter on it and all the factory paint markings along with almost all the factory paper tags are still there on the springs and transmission. The 351 runs through the original FMX Automatic Transmission that runs out back to the original 9 Rear end with the 2.47 Gears.
