Vehicle Overview

Shay 1929 Ford Model A reproduction (sold "AS IS"). Identical to the 1929 Model A except the body, frame and drive train. The body was made of metal and fiberglass. The drive train consists of a Pinto 2.3 liter 4 cylinder motor and a 4 spd manual transmission. Odometer reading is 17,206 miles. Two owners. Runs well.

Only approximately 5000 total 1929 Model A Reproductions were made between 1979 and 1983, and only 500 of this classic model were made (the classic model with spare tires on fender/running boards on each side and has a rumble seat in the back).

Please note that this is a reproduction of the 1929 Model A that Ford commissioned Shea Motors to build. The information that Autotrader Classics asked for does take into consideration the model so that does not show up. As a result, I entered it as a Ford, other model, but it is a Shea Model A anniversary commemorative reproduction.

Mechanical

Good. Engine runs smoothly, transmission shifts smoothly. No known problems. Paint has several small blemishes but good for a 45-year old car.

Exterior

Paint is reasonably good, but is original paint and is a 45 year old car. Top is in good condition. Trunk is in good shape although the leather straps are worn.

Interior

Seats are in good condition, needs a new rearview mirror. Rumble seat is in good condition, rugs on floor probably should be replaced.

standard brakes, standard steering (not power steering), I believe the frame was made by Shay motors, is a modern frame but not a pinto frame, do not believe it has a heater (I am out of town so cannot remember and cannot look at it). I do not know the tire size off hand (again because I am out of town), but they were the standard tires for that model. Sorry I could not be more specific but was called out of town on an emergency.

Hello, does this vehicle have standard or power brakes? Power steering? Is the frame a Ford Pinto frame? What are the tires used? Does it have a heat? Thanks
