1978 VW Super Beetle Champagne Edition Convertible is one of approximately eleven Champagne II Edition examples that were produced for the 1978 model year. This vehicle was purchased brand new from Garden Grove Volkswagen in 1978. Its original window sticker confirms it to be an actual Champagne Edition II Convertible. AC was installed by the selling dealer. The compressor is off and would need to be re-installed. Cost of this vehicle new was $6,344.50. This car had one repaint in its original factory color, Red Metallic. A new tan vinyl top was recently installed. The seats are white vinyl outers with brown cloth inserts. A brand new battery was just installed. An aftermarket AM/FM Stereo has been installed. Manual 4 Spd transmission with 1.6L flat four, equipped with Bosch-L-Jetronic fuel injection. Runs and drives great!
